You must bring the following to register:

   1) Proof of residency, bring 2 of the items below:

        - Signed lease agreement

        - Receipt from a utility bill ( gas, electric,water)

       - Current address on income tax for

       - Proof of home ownership.

  2) Certified copy of enrolling child's birth certificate

Aurora Community Watch will host newly elected Sherriff Hammonds

A public meeting, hosted by Aurora Community Watch, will be held  Thursday, March 23 at the Aurora Community Center from 6:00 PM - 7:30  PM. The newly elected Beaufort County Sherriff Mike Hammonds will be  present. This will be an opportunity for citizens to ask questions and  voice concerns. Sheriff Hammond will announce his plans and long term  vision for the Beaufort County Sheriff's Department. This event is open  to all!

Golden LEAF Colleges and Universities Scholarship application window is now open for the 2023-2024 academic year

A total of 215 awards will be offered to first-time recipients from  qualifying rural and economically distressed counties. Applications are  due March 1, 2023.  The awards are valued at $14,000 ($3,500 per year for up to four years) for North Carolina high school students attending a participating North Carolina college or university. North Carolina community college transfer students can receive $3,500 per year for up to three years. For more details, visit:
